Calvary Memorial Church is located at the corner of Birch and 18th in Gering, Nebraska.  We gather each Sunday morning at 10:30 to glorify God through corporate praise and worship with a distinct focus on the relevant teaching of the Bible.

The Trail is a laid-back, come-as-you-are worship experience specifically geared toward young adults in their late teens, 20’s, and 30’s.

Why The Trail?

Here in the panhandle of Nebraska, many of us live and work in the very place that pioneers journeyed through on the Oregon Trail. The valley is steeped in the history of pioneers and the Oregon Trail with all of its landmarks that surround our area. Here at Calvary, we understand that like those pioneers, we are also on a journey—a journey of faith, following in the footsteps of Jesus. We understand that this is a lifelong endeavor, and it’s better for everyone when we walk together. The Trail is a community centered around weekly worship, built on the idea that we can encourage each other on our individual paths as we take this journey of following Jesus together.

Who is the Trail for?

The Trail is a laid-back, come-as-you-are worship experience specifically geared toward young adults in their late teens, 20’s, and 30’s, but all are welcome to join us.

What can I expect at the trail?

Expect an atmosphere that is friendly and relaxed, with teaching that is timelessly Biblical and relevant for the times in which we live. Our aim is to attract young people who may not regularly attend church, to be a gateway to the rest of Calvary that is welcoming and magnetic.

Our goals as The Trail are to:

  • Provide worship and teaching that is vibrant, relevant, and compelling

  • Challenge the culture and beliefs of young adults today with the wisdom and truth of the Word of God, and call them towards greater maturity and depth, giving practical insight into the unique challenges that face young adults in today’s world

  • Grow a community that creates and strengthens connections between those who attend, moving from a generation that often winds up isolated and alone, to a community that actively engages with and encourages one another throughout the week

Weekly worship

The Trail kicks off Tuesday, November 6th at 7 PM. After that, we will continue meeting at Calvary on Tuesdays at 7 for worship and teaching. As this group grows and develops, we are excited to see what gets added to that foundation. Talk to Pastor Joe if you are interested in serving or planning for The Trail.
